The mentored hunting licence, also called an apprentice license for hunter, permits a person to hunt after they have completed hunter school. A mentor must be present to supervise the student while they hunt. This license was created in order to attract new hunters from all age groups into the hunting sport. This type of license is available in 33 states. Two states have even reduced the minimum age for hunting to attract more young hunters.
